Pen & Wig Pub of the Year Presentation

Cardiff Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is delighted to announce that the Pen & Wig, Cardiff has been awarded its coveted Pub of the Year accolade for 2010.

The annual award is made to the Cardiff pub which CAMRA's members believe serves the best real ale and has done the most to support the real ale drinkers.

Cardiff branch Social Secretary John Lamb said:

The award is recognition for the quality the pub offers and its work in attracting students and young professionals to drink real ales.

It really has worked very hard.

Pub manager Cheryl Flowers paid tribute to her staff for their hard work. “We do five cask ales and a lot of effort goes into looking after them and making sure they are just right for the customer,” she said.

Highly Commended awards were also made to Y Mochyn Du, Pontcanna and the Gwaelod Y Garth Inn, Gwaelod y Garth.
